Viable, LLC, A High Performance Real Estate Consulting practice in the Monterey Bay specializing in sustainability certifications, commercial real estate consulting, auditing services and ordinance compliance is recruiting for a Part-Time Project Coordinator.


The Project Coordinator will assist in the management of a specific project, relating to building performance standards in the United States. This role is currently rather minimal (Approx 20 hours weekly), but expected to evolve in the coming years. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope while working with Stakeholders to ensure project success of benchmarking and building performance standards.


Under the guidance of the Senior Consultant, the Project Coordinator will engage in all aspects of project support. Including, but not limited to, understanding project deadlines, monitoring and summarizing project status, managing risk, as well as preparing a variety of reports for client and internal use. 


***Fluency in Microsoft Excel is essential in this role and will be assessed prior to employment.*** 


The successful candidate will have strong communication skills to work directly with the Project Manager and clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, time, and budget constraints. They will have the desire and capacity to work with all stakeholders to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.


Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering preferred, or 2-4 years of proven experience in the field of sustainability, data management, or a related field. Familiarity with industry concepts, practices and procedures is highly desirable.


The successful candidate will have the ability to work well independently, exercising skills, experience and judgement to plan, prioritize, and accomplish goals. A wide degree of analysis and process improvement is expected in this role, and the reality is, very few, if anyone, will be familiar with this area of expertise, it is something that is learned and you can grow into. Patience and a willingness to learn and grow are necessary to the success of the position. This position will report to the Senior Consultant.
